How to color with Ohuhu Markers in 4 steps

When I color with Ohuhu markers, I like to keep things simple and stress-free. Breaking my process into clear steps helps me focus on one thing at a time - and it means I can take a break without feeling overwhelmed by the whole page!

If you’ve ever wondered how to use Ohuhu markers to get smooth, streak-free results, here’s exactly how I do it.

My Steps for Coloring with Ohuhu Markers

1. Add Base Colors

I always start with light, flat colors to fill in the main areas. This sets up a clean foundation for layering. Don’t worry about making it perfect—just get the color down!

2. Add Details, Patterns, and Texture

Once the base is dry, I go back in with mid-tone markers to add details like patterns, light shadows, or textures. This makes the page start to come alive.

3. Deepen with Darker Tones

To add depth and dimension, I use darker shades to create shadows and contrast. This is my favorite step because it’s where everything really starts to pop!

4. Add White Highlights

For the finishing touches, I grab my white gel pen to add highlights. A few dots, lines, or sparkles make all the difference and really tie the whole page together.
