@cozy_colour Another cozy coloring page (Book Girl Moments by Coco Wyo) using a color palette! I tried to balance my colors on this page by creating 'triangles' of color, i think it turned out well! #coloringpage #colorwithme #cocowyo #colortok #coloringbook #coloringtechniques #girlmoments ♬ Coffee and Chords - ya-su
For this cozy kitchen scene from Girl Moments by Coco Wyo, I used a color palette to keep everything cohesive and balanced.
One of my favorite tricks when working with multiple colors is to create triangles of color across the page. This helps guide the viewer’s eye and makes the page feel more harmonious. Here’s how I did it!
Before coloring, I swatched my markers to find the closest matches to my chosen color palette. Marker colors can look slightly different when wet, so I always let them dry before making a final decision.
The colors I used were:
🎨 R150, Y140, R270, G300, G270, PB1
I started by adding the first layer of color, making sure to distribute the colors evenly across the page. To balance them, I used the triangle method - placing the same color in three different areas to create a visual flow.
This method ensures the colors feel evenly spaced and well-balanced.
To create depth, I used a lighter blue marker to add a blue glow effect from the fridge. I then deepened the shadows where the light wouldn’t hit, especially near objects and corners.
For texture, I used:
✔️ Acrylic markers to fix bleeding and add fine details.
✔️ A white acrylic pen for highlights and clouds.
✔️ A floorboard technique (which has been viral on TikTok!) to make the floor look more realistic.
I added extra cloud details using a streaky, zigzag effect to blend the pink, yellow, and blue from the color palette. The final step was highlighting key areas to make the page pop!
This coloring page turned out so cozy and vibrant. I’m absolutely thrilled with how it came together! If you’re struggling with color placement, try the triangle method next time.
