How to Remove Bleed Stains from Your Coloring Pages with a Colorless Blender

@cozy_colour Removing Ohuhu Marker stains. Got a mark on your coloring page from your Ohuhu Markers because you forgot to put some paper in between? Here's how to fix it! #ohuhumarkers #colorwithme #colortok #cozycoloring #coloringbook #coloringtutorial #coloringpage #ohuhu ♬ Romantic Classical Piano Solo - FREDERIC BOUCHAL

If you’ve ever had marker bleed ruin the back of your colouring page, you are so not alone. I wanted to use a page for a window tutorial, but there was a dark ink stain bleeding through - and I really didn’t want to start over.

So I gave the colourless blender trick a try… and it actually worked!

Here’s exactly how I did it, what I used, and what to expect if you try it yourself.

Step-by-Step: Removing Marker Bleed with a Colorless Blender

  • Grab Your Colourless Blender
I used the chisel tip of my Ohuhu colourless blender so I could press down firmly and cover more area.

  • Use Absorbent Paper Behind the Page
I placed thick scrap paper behind the page to soak up the lifted ink. As you press, the colour transfers out of the paper and into the sheet underneath.

  • Press, Don’t Rub
Gently press the blender over the stained area, don’t rub, or you might smudge nearby linework. I noticed some smudging with the black ink, so try to avoid going over outlines if possible.

  • Move the Backing Paper Often
Keep shifting the scrap paper underneath to a clean spot, so you’re always absorbing fresh ink rather than re-depositing it.

  • Let It Dry Fully
After working the area, let it dry completely. The page might feel a little fuzzy or textured, especially if you’ve pressed hard, but most of the stain will be gone!

Final Thoughts

While not a perfect fix, this technique lifted most of the stain, and the page is definitely usable again. Just be cautious of ink smudging and possible texture changes.
